Holiday Test Practice Clubs

The clubs below run in school holiday time for children in Year 5 only.

They are Mini-Mocks with immediate feedback, explanation and review.

Children gain more confidence in specific areas and practice working during calm exam conditions.

Children should have their stationery, vocabulary record book, and a drink and snack (no nuts)  for break-time which is taken outdoors/at the park.

If your child is booked in for a full day, they must bring packed lunch (no nuts).

In the Grammar Prep Holiday clubs, we cover timed GL English and VR practice with instant feedback.

Independent Prep Clubs focus on longer comprehension and writing skills. 

Full tabled assessment feedback is given by email. An email has been sent to parents with the booking link. We welcome external pupils to Holiday Clubs where there are spaces; please contact us to register. 

The given tutor's name is provisional and can change.

These support children to complete their GL papers (otherwise set for homework) with us in class, and allow us to fully explain and reinforce the work after each section. Your child must bring their GL Pack 3 English or VR as stated, to the club. The link to buy these is in your email.

Summer Grammar Preparation Holiday Clubs

Each club number is a different syllabus so there are 12 different clubs to book in total. All 1s are the same as each other. All 2s are the same as each other. These clubs have a completely different syllabus to the Christmas, February and Easter and Whitsun clubs.

Each club has different sessions (A, B, C etc) to choose from to ensure that clubs stay small and children receive individual attention.

Poetry Workshops

You must book a Part 1 AND a Part 2 for your child. Otherwise they will only be in half the course, which we do not recommend.  

These workshops particularly suit girls preparing for the KEHS or those preparing for wider national independent school exams. Poetry is not usually in the KES or Grammar school exams.

These best suit children who have attended Ind Prep or Writing Club as some writing experience is required. Writing is tested in Independent school exams, including KES and KEHS, but is not tested in local Grammar school exams.
