Holiday Test Practice Clubs
The clubs below run in school holiday time for children in Year 5 only.
They are Mini-Mocks with immediate feedback, explanation and review.
Children gain more confidence in specific areas and practice working during calm exam conditions.
Children should have their stationery, vocabulary record book, and a drink and snack (no nuts) for break-time which is taken outdoors/at the park.
All Holiday Clubs are at The Literacy Club, 451 Brook Lane, B13 0BT, unless stated otherwise.
These sessions are 2 hours and 50 minutes long .
In the Grammar Prep Holiday clubs, we cover timed GL English and VR practice with instant feedback.
Independent Prep Clubs focus on longer comprehension and writing skills.
Full tabled assessment feedback is given by email. An email has been sent to parents with the booking link. We welcome external pupils to Holiday Clubs where there are spaces; please contact me to register.

EASTER HOLIDAY CLUBS
Easter GL Pack Holiday Clubs
These full-day workshops support children to complete their GL papers (otherwise set for Easter homework) with us in class, and allow us to fully explain and reinforce the
work after each section. Your child must bring their VR GL Pack 1 and English GL Pack 1 to the workshop. The link to buy these is in your email.
Both GL Pack groups below (Group Y and Group Z) are identically planned days so please only book one

Easter Grammar Preparation Holiday Clubs
Each club number is a different syllabus. All 5s are the same, all 6s are the same and so on. These clubs have a different syllabus from the Christmas, February and May half-term clubs.
Each club has different sessions (A, B, C etc) to choose from to ensure that clubs stay small and children receive individual attention.

Verbal Reasoning Booster Course - FULL
This has been developed for children attending Ind Prep classes (which do not include specific VR tuition) who also wish to develop confidence with GL VR as found in the Grammar and Solihull School exams. It is also useful for newer pupils who missed previous VR teaching or who would benefit from revision and additional structured VR practice. Children must attend Part 1 and Part 2 dates and will have homework set in between. This course can be booked by email only as first priority is given to Ind Prep pupils.
Both A and B are the same course - choose one.

Easter LIVE WRITING Holiday Clubs - FULL
These full day sessions are run with Amanah, an experienced KS2 teacher and School Writing Lead, alongside another tutor or experienced assistant to ensure individual support through the day to create a piece of writing to be proud of. This course works well for children already in Ind Prep or Writing Club. Year 6 children are also welcome to attend. Both are identical sessions so please only book one. This course can be booked by email only as first priority is given to Ind Prep/Writing Club pupils.
